OPL Ratings

A doubles win says very little about your singles game.

Doubles success depends heavily on court positioning, partnership chemistry, and shared coverage. Singles is pure individual execution, stamina, and court control. Because these formats demand entirely different skill sets, MYOPL measures and tracks them as independent rating contexts.

Two Formats. Two Distinct Profiles.

  • Singles: A direct, isolated signal of individual performance against a single opponent.
  • Doubles: A collaborative result calibrated across all four active participants on the court.

When evaluating player skill or seeding a bracket, always ensure you are comparing within the same format and time frame. A standout doubles rating never guarantees identical performance in singles.

Why Full Roster Accuracy Matters

When recording doubles telemetry, accurately assigning all four players is essential. Pairing data, opponent ratings, and historical adjustments are calculated holistically—a missing or incorrect partner distorts the rating evidence for everyone on the court.
